SARS-CoV-2

The SARS-CoV-2 is the new virus from 2019 that has caused the COVID-19 pandemic. The SARS-CoV-2 virus, as of the 22nd of April, has been confirmed in 1.6 million persons with over 166,000 deaths worldwide. Entire countries, and almost every state in the United States, have implemented significant restrictions to help slow the spread of the virus. Despite the best efforts of governments to restrict the movement and congregation of people, the virus continues to weak havoc. Healthcare organizations are faced with enormous expenses caring for those that are sick and preparing for those to come. At the same time their revenues have sunk to record lows in an attempt to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2. The vast majority of business have slowed or temporarily stopped production completely. This has resulted in the largest economic downfall to affect the U.S. and most other countries since the great depression.

At FACSS we know that the success in getting back to work, for your business and the entire world economy, is dependent on stopping this virus. We believe that one of the keys to bringing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 under control is to immediately implement organizational controls and focused education. Important controls include physical barricades that limit cross-contamination, optimizing air circulation, focusing on contact surface cleaning, acute disease management including contact tracing, and employee education. These types of controls can be implemented in almost every business setting and can help minimize further spread now, or limit recurrence as businesses are allowed to open again.
